Cup-A-Cake

We love the entrepreneurial spirit especially when coupled with a great design idea.
This container solves a long time problem. It will hold a frosted cupcake in place with internal, bonded holders which are positioned in such a way that the cupcake will not move within the container if jiggled or turned upside down! No frosting lost! From Cup-A-Cake.

I think I need the Leaning Pisa Candy Container filled with candy as well? Or perhaps the Eiffel Tower Candy Container?I think I’ll just add both to the wish list.

Bingeing on Pink Cupcakes Could Make you Blush. Pinkalicious, by Elizabeth Kann Takes Center Stage
PERILOUS PINK: Think of it as a cautionary tale for the tutu-wearing set. “Pinkalicious, the Musical” tells the story of a little girl who develops a full-body blush after bingeing on pink-frosted cupcakes – and that makes her feel pretty blue. Based on the book “Pinkalicious” by Elizabeth Kann and Victoria Kann, with music by John Gregor. So if you are in, or wish to head to NYC call for reservations: (212) 352-3101. Saturdays and Sundays through Feb. 25 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.; $18. Vital Theatre Company, 2162 Broadway (fourth floor), at 76th Street.
Sticky Toffee Pudding Cupcakes
So with a minor snow “storm” upon us Dana and I decided to experiment with a new recipe, Sticky Toffee Pudding Cupcakes from the book 500 Cupcakes by Fergal Connolly. We knew after reading the recipe this would not be your standard cupcake. The first two things we noticed were no frosting and the recipe called for dates. Onward we pressed and found the recipe pretty easy to complete. After the 25 minute cook time we had 12 cupcakes to sample and share. These are more like a mini coffee cake and as the author indicates are best served warm. We omitted the parchment paper and used regular cupcake liners which created a slightly gooey bottom…we think.

I think this is an absolute score find these at tildas.com They really need to come out with wholesale spools of pink & white and brown & white! This is a start however. Pair these twisted twines with plain white, or even pink bakery boxes for a cute and adorable way to present your baked goodies!
